This assignment for photojournalism was pretty frustrating for me. The lens was heavy and it was freezing out. I can’t believe my tripod was lost/stolen.

Here was my submission for my first photo journalism assignment. We had to capture something candid for this. It was just my luck when low and behold, a nun shows up at my college and sits down to read in the student union building. So doing what I was supposed to, I approached her asking permission to photograph her. Now this photo is pretty grainy with a lot of noise because at this point I haven’t gotten used to my camera yet. (I am getting a lot better now) This was taken with my Nikon D60 SLR. Here she is:
